Music for Little Mozarts

Teresa is a talented musician and educator. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 8. Teresa received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho along with her professors’ top recommendations. During six years teaching in public schools she taught second, fifth, and sixth grades, as well as special education classes. In 2016 she stopped teaching full-time, but was requested by the Education Department at BYU-Idaho to join their team to teach and support local student teachers. Teresa’s favorite musical endeavors are teaching music, singing in choirs, and accompanying choirs. Her most recent teaching adventure has been homeschooling her three children. Teresa has a deep love for curriculum development, and makes it her personal mission to make any subject she is responsible to teach the most engaging and authentic sort of education possible. She loves being with people, and feels privileged to watch the joy people experience as they learn something challenging and new.
